That thing's just plain ugly. I was trying to find some sort of adapter to mate the 1/4" end on one of those valves to the radiator- I found a website for a place that specialized in uncommon parts, pieces, adapters and other fittings that seemed to have the stuff to do it, but I never followed up on it. I was going to put a hose barb on the end of it and run some type of flexible tubing from it. I should see if I can find that again. There has to be a more elegant way to do that. I asked the guy that owns a local radiator shop and he didn't think the insert could be replaced but he thought he might be able to braze something to it.

Cya, Robert
