Let us know what you find out BenT.  I have been using needle nose pliers
and holding my tong just right for this and often end up breaking at least
one of these plastic thingies as they are brittle over time.  :p

They must have some sort of 3-prong tool to take these headlights apart w/o
destroying the plastic retainers. I've taken them out with small
screwdriver's and needle nose pliers but looks like there is a specific tool
for these. Anybody know what the VW special tool # is?
