Subject: Re: VW wifes

Well guys....the VW wife is out there and I have one.

When my missus and I met, I had a 71 vert, wasnt into buses yet.

She would go to shows with me. At first, she would look for a short time, then go shopping while I would stay at the show.

Then she would stay longer and longer...Got pretty good at the IDs too....

We went to the old BBTA and didnt even have a bus..... We drove her car and camped in a tent there. I just wanted to check out the buses and she was a good sport (we had gotten married by then)

I think the ultimate test was a couple of years ago. I had bought and 86 westy wolfsburg 2 weeks earlier. I was looking for an 84-85 wolfie auto for a good long while and hadnt found one.

Found exactly what I wanted at a bus show. She gave me Zulu clearance to buy the 85, when i had just bought the 86 two weeks before.

I guess she figures that its better for me to be messing around the garage on an old bus rather than out in a bar somewhere.

For you single guys, just remember.....Women are just like buses......There are still some good ones out there that you can afford....You just have to keep looking.......But be careful.......some of them are HIGH maintenance and will nickle and dime you to death.

Chuck with low maintenance wife
