Chris - I remember meeting your girlfriend at Westies@Watkins and I do

concur.... :O)

I definitely think a thread through this is whether the Spouse/S.O. is

competing with the van or has some kind of ownership for the hobby.

I think it is definitely possible to "ramp" a person up in all things VW.

You just gotta show the fun -lets go camping-cool-road-trip-next-year-burning-man-quit-the-job-for-a-year

My Boyfriend knew 0 about cars three years ago - took him to his first VW show - and he took one look at a pimped out 23 window sunroof bus and pointed and said

"that one"

Now... 3 years, 12+ episodes of "pimp my ride", 15+ camping trips, 5 laps Around watkins Glen race track and near breakdown later.....

And I am on the block to provide a pimped/slammed sunroof bay bus with WiFi and a 2.0 liter before we will EVER will see a minister in Vermont. . :O)

Cheers -
