Hello, I have a question I hope someone can can help me with.  We took off
the head from my 91 vanagon engine, right side, because it was leaking a bit
of water. We fixed the pitted area. On disassembly the cylinder sleeves
stayed in place so on reassembly I don't intend to remove the cylinder
sleeves and I don't recall a gasket other than the metal sealing ring.    My
question is:  I have several rubber o rings in the seal kit.  One large
cross section diameter o ring, color purple and 2 sets of 2 each thinner O
rings, two green and two sort of bluish.  Now, I see from my factory repair
manual that there should be a O ring gasket installed between the metal
sealing ring and the cylinder sleeve.  Which O ring should I use???  The
instructions that came with the seal kit do not say anything about O ring
gaskets. The view in the manual is not as good as I would want since it
leaves a lot of questions open.  Does someone have a better drawing/exploded
view of the assembly that I might get??  I would appreciate any and all help
you can give me.  Cheers
