I had mine burned off, didn't hurt any fiberglass. But I took it to someone who knew what he was doing. Seems like if that hadn't worked I was going to take an angle grinder to the frame member and open the bottom so I could grab or jam the nut and have the bottom welded later.

Out of curiosity, which nut came loose?
