For the Westfalia I found a third brake light from a '93-'99 Jetta works perfectly.

It is a long light bar , incandescent , not LED, and it lays flat in the rear overhead tray.

I put a stip of no-skid under it and a thin piece of foam to raise it up slightly.

Anyone wanting to see pictures of this e-mail me.
