Chris Armor all is notorious for many reasons. Yes, it dries out vinyl. Apparently leaches out the "natural" oils. It also turns any surface it's applied to into a dust magnet, makes seats and steering wheels very slippery etc etc. Never use it again. Learned the hard way of course.
