Several years ago, somebody on the list made the suggestion of using water with a little bit of baby shampoo.

If I remember correctly, they said they'd used it on an older 911 show car to give the interior a natural, flat look as opposed to slick and shiny.

I took the advice and use a squirt bottle with a couple of drops of my daughter's Aveeno Baby shampoo.

It works great as a cleaner, gives the vinyl a natural, flat look, and smells good, too. But only use a couple of drops! Too much and your dash will lather. I know this from experience.

It hasn't destroyed anything in my last two Vanagons, vinyl-wise, so I think it works well.
