If it's the synchros, it means you have to take the tranny apart and replace them. The synchro rings themselves are cheap, but conventional wisdom has it that if you're going to pull the trans, rip it apart, etc., it's worth checking and replacing the gears, bearings, 3-4 hub and so forth, which amounts to a rebuild. |
