It will work just fine. Only difference I can tell is the response time. Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Kenneth Wilford Sent: Thursday, February 16, 2006 3:20 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Idea about Auxilary Air Valve I hate to sound like Chicken little again, but as far as I can find the Auxilary Air Valve for the 83-85 1.9l is no longer available from any of my sources. I got a couple from a wholesaler who had them in the shelf but now they are gone as well. I had a customer call me today and ask about using the AAV from a Rabbit. I looked at the pictures of the Vanagon version and the Rabbit version and they look the same. They both have a different Bosch part number. Does anyone know if using the Rabbit one on the Vanagon would work? Has anyone tried this? If no one has, I am going to buy the Rabbit version and test it out on my 85 Westy. But I thought I would ask the list first for their experience.
