Beetle caps won't fit, all right, but not because of a diameter problem. They are not DEEP enough for Vanagon use, especially at that pesky speedo drive nubbin on the front left...

That chrome will hold up,so dont paint them The caps from a beetle wont fit.They are just a smidgen too small in diameter.
