It is a common occurance for the pads to wear enevenly. That is why proper brake inspections reqiure checking all the wheels and rear drums. In additon to making sure the sliders are free, the carriers where the pads sit need to be clean and greased where the pad will slide on the carrier. High temp. brake grease is available for this purpose. Make sure not to get the grease on the pads or rotors.
