John...Most of the time internal problems only start with one gear grinding and if let go long enough, another will start to have a problem. If its a clutch related issue, you have to fix that first. Most times a clutch thats not disengaging is felt when things engage right at the floor and not half way up. Tranny problems are worse when cold and are usually pretty consistent. You might try a thinner synthetic oil like Redline to get it shifting easier also..Good Luck and heres hoping you don't need to have a trans done... Daryl of AA Transaxle Duvall, WA.
