Six of one, half a dozen of the other, but the North American 5 speeds have a 5th with 49x64 teeth. That is .7656 which rounds up to .77, from just about midway between .76 and .77.

Bentley page 34.1b has the internal data for this 5 speed.

Various versions of the 5 speed from other markets had different 5th gear ratios as well as other differences.
