<It is a GREAT Movie, done in a semi-doco, dry Australian way.  It is
well
<worth seeing (very funny) if you have a chance.  The segment shown is
the
<only VW content.

<The Cane Toad problem is a very serious one in Australia, and only this

<data were released to show the problem is increasing at an alarming
rate.


Yep, the toad (introduced I think in the 1930s ) is now apparently
adapting and 
evolving longer legs allowing it to spread further each year across the
top of 
Australia. As an introduced pest, they have no natural enemies in this
country.
Previously it was moving at around 20-30kms per annum but now that has
increased
to around 60kms due largely to greater hopping power.
They are also adapting to cooler climates too and are now found to be
spreading 
further south into regions previously thought safe. 



<There are plenty of buses around still here downunder and many campers
<travel around Queensland roads doing just what the guy in the movie is

Very funny movie and definitely worth seeing. Brings back great (albeit
foggy)
memories of over 30 years ago doing exactly the same thing while
travelling 
in Queensland with a mate in his 1600 Kombi. 
Cane toad killing was a sport even then and I recall one night after
sharing a
university cigarette he put the van down into a drainage ditch after
being so 
determined to squash a particularly large toad he followed it right off
the road.

Kombi drivers are just being responsible and helping the
environment...at least that
was our story and we're sticking to it...;-)
