Hi guys, I have occasional popping noises coming from the rear of my van--usually when I go over bumps. I recently changed the rear shocks, and secretly hoped this would magically make the problem go away, but it didn't. While I was down there, I noticed I have some cv boots with slight holes in them, so now I've got that job on my hands as well. It was suggested to try to replicate the sound by driving in tight circles in a parking lot, in which case it would likely be the cv joints at fault. I didn't get the noise driving lots of circles in different directions, so I'm thinking it maybe something else. (It also doesn't have the regularity I would expect from cv joint noises, I guess). Any other ideas as to what this could be? thanks -Wes '84 1.9l |
