No, there is no "hidden" lever, 14 1/2 gallons is about all there is to get out of a non-Syncro fuel tank. The reserve that is claimed is mostly, it seems, to keep the dirt out of the pick-up... But seriously, there is about a gallon and a half that the pick-up can't reach usually. If you are constantly running into this discrepancy as a problem, maybe you should consider carrying a FULL can of fuel with you at all times. BTW - - are you related to my dad? He runs my mom's car out of gas all the time... (...its a joke, o.k...) Bob Mac <BOBMACDOWELL@WEBTV.NET> wrote: What's the deal with my gas tank. I ran out of gas the other day. put 2 gal in, drove 1 block. filled the tank 12 1/2 gal. That's 14 1/2 gal total. I thought the tank in these was 16 gal. or is this like the propane tank that's supposed to hold 3 gal but only holds 2.3 gal. Does the reserve tank have a secret lever to pull, hidden somewhere.
