mark.. the T7A tound connector plug in the firewall junction box is wired as
this on my '85 Doublecab:
T7a 1 blue/black - goes into GREEN?????
T7a 2 yellow/red - goes into yellow/red
T7a 3 blue/green - goes into blue/green
T7a 4 brown - - - - -goes into brown
T7a 5 EMPTY
T7a 6 red/black - goes into red/black
T7a 7 EMPTY
Eric Dieder (sp?) said that:
T7a-1 blu/blk is the oil pressure
T7a-2 yel/red is the coolant temp
T7a-3 blk/grn is the coolant temp (+)
T7a-4 brown is the coolant temp ground
T7a-5 green is the Tachometer
T7a-6 red/blk is the starter
T7a-7 yel/red is check engine light
so apparently pin T7a 5, which is the tach pin, is empty on my doka.
what id like to know, is why T7a 1 (which apparently is the low bar oil PSI)
goes from blue/black wire into solid GREEN???
and also, why would i have the correct green tach wire in position #9 of the
14pt multiconnector inst. cluster plug in the dash, and then have it terminate
into nothingness somewhere between there and the engine compartment?? i just
find it odd that the wire was already there in the plug, but nowhere to be
found back by the engine. so i guess i just remove the green wire from #9 and
add another green wire, or splice into the existing green wire? id just
like to know where that wire goes.. because its obviously in the harness
somewhere.. eric had a '85 doka and so did stacy - they both said they had to add a
wire to #9 pin on the cluster plug.. i guess my doka has a "one off"
wiring harness? strange stuff..??
