Re: 3rd Brake Light

If you are referring to a red light that duplicates the rear hatch VW logo, it's fun and I think of it as a 'happy tailwinds' charm. BUT a little warning: I got busted by the cops for having one as an 'ornamental brake light' because it can 'distract' other drivers. I had to disconnect it or get fined.

This was in super up-tight Santa Barbara copville, so maybe you're ok in your area.

But I might reconnect it to the regular tail-light circuit. I dont know if that's illegal too but I'll find out..... I

The irony of this mishap was that the cop was actually being nice to bust me for that minor violation and let me off the hook for a worse one - rolling through a stop sign.... - so maybe it's good to have a little bust-worthy thing on board, and maybe not, since they also look for little things like that as excuses to pull one over -

good luck w/ your choice - Peter Lackner
