Aha! So, now we should put this link as the 'archive' in the future with an invitation to fill. I hope, the guy who manages knows what's good and what's junk. We don't even have a straight click to the archives ... John Meeks came up with a solution to this problem a long time ago: see the Been There Done That (BTDT) site at www.vanagonauts.com This is exactly what you describe, a list of subjects (in the same order as the Bentley manual) along with the best no-nonsense advice the list has to offer. The only problem is that there are many subjects with no information filled in yet. It is up to YOU to help fill in the blanks. Whenever you come across an excellent piece of advice in the archives e-mail a copy of the post to John (see website for e-mail address) and he will post it at the BTDT site. I have forwarded John a couple of goodies over the past few weeks and he is always grateful to receive them and posts them immediately. If we all did this the site would fill up with GOOD stuff in no time. It's up to YOU to make the BTDT site a great place to cherry pick from the archives!

Thanks, Jake

Looking throught he archives, I find all kind of messages that are not even closely related to the subject, only the subject line. I would prefer if we had a collection of the best answers rather. It is a total waste of time and a lot of misleading answers by Vanagon vannabes.

How about a list of subject and then the best answers within that. That is when the archives serve the members. Not this way. Am I telling anything new? Zoltan
