Ron,


Don't feel the need to apologize for asking a question - any question.
You couldn't have known that Terry is a bit of a flash point on this
list.


Having met him personally, I'll say that he is a great guy, but with
some serious shortcomings in our modern, polite society.  By all normal
standards, he is racist and sexist,  He has the same failings and
weaknesses we all do, but he makes no attempt to mask his perceptions
and reactions.


He is fairly knowledgeable on Vanagons, and from what I've heard, his
parts are first rate.


I would be happy to bend elbows with him, but don't think I could be
truly close to him.
