I know it's no longer friday but that subject reminded me of the Mississippi
night a year or so ago when I pulled a ford minivan out of a ditch with my
ac westy.  The driver had suspended one of the front drivewheels over a hole
simultaneosly bottoming the van out and making front wheel touching the
ground useless thanks to the open diff.  Luckily I keep a tow chain (for the
oposite sort of situation) and my clutch was up for a bit of slippage.  One
of my vans finest moments (up there with making it through the Eisenhower
tunnel).  Too bad I don't have a video, your friend would be sold for
sure...
