Well, at Syncro de Mayo Este, Karl broke an axle a couple of years ago, and Derek destroyed a cv 3 year ago. Derek's still running a stock engine (though he has 16" wheels). He did it by revving the engine and popping the clutch. Karl has the 1.9 TDI and was following Brady up some of the ridiculous slopes in the play area on the way to Meadow Knob.

It's nice to have a diff lock when you've broken something like this, as you can continue along for the rest of the day...
