in 1985 vanagon started coming with a fold down rear seat that
converted into a double(!?) bed.
easiest thing is to get one from an 85 or later passenger van - the
westy and other models (like the carat) have panels and cabinets and
such that make their rear seat too narrow to fit well in the
"plain-jane"
me myself i've got a plain jane and i love it so except for when i want
to stand up.

Ron, or anyone else? Can I ask for some more detail on what is in this
kit?
Does one need a westy bed in the first place, or will this convert a
regular
van rear seat to a fold/slide down like a westy? The instructions? Do
they
explain how to build the whole seat/bed, or something else?
I have seen a total of one fold down 'westy' bed in my life, so I have
no
real idea what its like, but I do know I would kill for one in my
plain-jane
vanagon :-)
Thanks a lot.

even seen the dove disappear behind a cloud, and they seemed as anxious
