well you can put a carat or wolfsburg interior into any year vanagon..if you get all the pieces (which i have if anyone wants to do that, shameless plug) i have a carat interior in my own '84 sunroof vanagon, and it was not hard to install at all... actually this evening, i removed the carat rear seat and installed the diagonally striped rear sofabed from a 89 wolfsburg.. same thing as a carat rear sofabed, just that cool striped upholstry!! looks pretty spiffy in there!!

anyway, heres a question for y'all... id like to know why VW didnt make the rear cushion from the 89 wolfsburgs that matched the seats.... the seats have the diagonal stripes, but the rear cushion doesnt.. nor do the doorpanels.. bummer!! :<(
