Hi Folks,

I figger I must be getting older cuz I just spent an hour poking 'round the net looking at nice racks, & it didn't involve porn.

Sadly what I'm looking for is a nifty bike rack similar to the one I saw today on the Centennial Trail in Snohomish County, WA one a gray Westy.

It was the nifty Paulchen Gepäckträger, so far haven't found a nice link to buy them, or as I would prefer a nice local dealer. BTW the link on vanagon.com is toast.

In my poking 'round I learned 'bout the Fiamma Bikecarry. Almost as nifty, & available through gowesty.com for 'round 275 bucks plus shipping (more if you need to carry more then a couple bikes).

As a result I have a couple of questions.

First off.

Anybody local have one they no longer use they'd like to part with? (I'm in Edmonds, WA just N of Seattle) Anybody know a local, or online dealer for the Paulchen?? They look to be pretty sturdy, but if you have any further info that would be nice. Anybody used the Fiamma, & have some comments on them do they hold up OK?? Any problems (Warranties are nice but they suck in the middle of the trip)?? They appear to be Aluminum is about all I know 'bout 'em. Fiamma.com didn't have a lot info beyond a couple of pics & basic setup on the Eurosite. Nothing much else to go on.

Thanks for any comments beyond the usual flames of check the archives (I'll assume a couple of you will say that, so no need to post 'em)

JT/Edmonds, WA 82 1.6 TD - Intercooled 0-60 by Monday!! No longer by Wednesday!!!
