Not if the Rear Hatch Glass is heavily tinted, as is the case with my rig and the curtains are drawn closed (most of the time on my rig as well). OTOH, the center stoplight is mounted a bit to high to be effective, methinks.

After riding a Honda GL1100 Interstate for a number of years, I have come away with the notion that you can't have too much in the way of tail/stop/turnlights to let the idiot on the cellphone behind you know what you're about to do. It may look hokey, but I kinda like the set up on this rig and who knows, I may do something similar to mine. In Southern California trafiic, the Vanagon Tail/Stop/Turn configuration leaves a lot to be desired at times. In PA, it may be a different story. -- Jim Thompson 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com ********************************** On 3/6/06, JordanVw@aol.com <JordanVw@aol.com> wrote: > > In a message dated 3/6/06 8:21:46 AM Eastern Standard Time, > groups.florian@GMAIL.COM writes: > > > > http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=250815 > > > > > > that looks really hokey.. :<( > > a good 3rd brakelight mounted on the rear overhead parcel shelf back , > visible thru the hatch glass, it a better idea. > > chris >
