If you have a garage door opener, you should be able to adjust it to pull the door up so that it clears the opening. That worked at my last house and my '90 Westy always fit. At my current house, the Westy fit, but sometimes scraped just slightly, depending on the weather and how much gas was in the tank. I removed most of the 2 x 6 running across the top and replaced it with a 1 x 6. No more problems, and as of a year or so ago, BOTH Westys fit, side by side. Jerry

I looked at that Sportsmobile website and saw this: "Sportsmobile's new Penthouse "G" installed on a Ford RB 8,600 GVWR van and a Sportsmobile Conversion measures 83" high. This will fit into most garages."

My '85 Westy is 83-1/2" tall at the skylight, '83" at the luggage carrier. I haven't been able to get it in any of several garages I've tried. I measured my sister's garage today and the opening is 83", but with the garage door up, the door hangs down to 82", so I could not get in it.

My Westy is not level - front springs are a couple of inches higher than the rear. Anybody else have trouble finding a garage to fit into?

Maggie
