I know you have stated you have your heart in this product only but... I'm not sure what the surepower unit is but I've been boating for many years with 3 and 4 battery configs. I swear by battery combiners (smart relays) from the likes of www.westmarine.com and such. I find them on ebay new for 1/2 the retail all the time. I think I've got them new for $70 before. Charge when needed, isolates properly and has a switch to combine for sharing load. I do believe my one model allows even for intermittent starts due to the heavier gauge wire it ships with. If the unit you speak of is truly and isolator then you will experience voltage drop of approx. 1.0-1.5v which is not acceptable in this day and age. True isolators are a thing of the past IMHO. Subject line says it all. Sure Power apparently doesn't sell direct to the public, and I'm not having much luck finding it on-line. Does anyone know where I can order one? I need to install a second battery in a Vanagon. Yes, I know there are other ways to do it, but this is the way I want to go. Thanks, Dave -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
