I have just had my propane checked out on my (new to me) '81 Westy, and all is well. Fridge and stove work fine. In fact the fridge fired up perfectly the first time I (correctly) followed the instructions. (We won't talk about NOT following the instructions) :) Also, took the van to our local VW expert, and we fired up the Eberspacher gas heater. Again, fired up first time, cycled nicely, etc. I'm told I'm VERY lucky to have that happen, as there can be many complications, and they can be impossible to fix. Now, I actually have HOT air coming from my defrost vents. That's nice. :) And, we will have heat when camping besides the portable propane heater we have. So, we are getting ready to go camping starting this weekend and lasting until the middle of next week. We'll cross the border into WA, putter south, probably over to Whidby Island, and perhaps onto the Olympic Peninsula. Our inaugural Westy trip. Wish us well and good weather. Take care, Phil '81 Westy (ready to go now) '75 Beetle (still working on it) '80 Yamaha XS1100 (always ready to GO!)
