The Tweako parts you want are only available if
you have bought a Tweako.
Parts and service for the customer are pathetic.
It's a Audi engine bored to 2.0. It has a weird
tweakable fuel injection system that makes you
rely soley on Tiico (or authorized centers) for
help with when it fails.
The Tiico doesn't go far enough - by now it
should have refined the boondoggles , but they
havent.
Still with the cracking -prone solid mount
downpipe flange, cracking alternator bracket,
MAP sensor that fails in cold weather, cheaper
parts . SOme report their teeth rattle out from
the vibrations. What's good about that?
If this was made with all German parts it would
be a good buy- but it's not.
The only things that are good are the engine
mounts, the exhaust pipes, oil pan, some hoses,
adaptor plate.
With these you can get your own inline four.
I know a place that sells 2.0 ABA's for 350.00.
For another 500-600 you can buy the Diesel
hardware , which the Tiico also uses, and make
your own conversion .
Tiico is a scam in my book- because it cannot
meet the expectations - there are too many
disatisfied customers. A Yahoo list to discuss
it's woes.
I have been rolling on my conversion for 11 years
now. Of course, it helps to be your own
mechanic.
I pity those who are at the mercy of Tiico or
others to get a good powerplant .
If I could I would do conversions for a living.
I would make them all like mine. Anyone passing
my way should stoip by for a drive.
Maybe I could do one a year-but now is not the
time to spam you.
Nothing is perfect but if you are going to do a
conversion, please avoid the Tiico and save
yourselves the headaches you will get.
