Subject: 1.9L to 2.1L interchange of parts
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"
Hi all
got a question on parts swapping. to know if the parts will fit from 1.9L to 2.1L. a simple yes or know is fine.
1) cam
2) cam bearings (type 1 or 4) to 1.9L
3) Rod bearings on 1.9L to 2.1L are the same as type 1
4) Crank 2.1L in 1.9L case?
5) main bearings
6) Lifters
7) Rods
8) heads
9) case
10) 1.9L P&Cs to 2.1L P&Cs and vise versa will they fit 2.1L to 1.9L
11) pushrods
12) oil pump i believe is same for all except type four and early type 1
13) flywheel
14) oil filters
Just wondering. Ive got 5 - 1.9L motors and 1 - 2.1L motor. 2 - 1.9L are running in vanagons, 2 - 1.9L and 1 - 2.1L are appart and one Long block 1.9L just
sitting around ready to take apart. all had various issues some stupid issues and pulled for no real good reason. Im going to build up the 2 - 1.9L motors. 1 is
a short block already and the other is ready to have the crank dropped in.
all in good fun. thanks Jonce
