Sure, it can and has been done. Not a simple bolt on project though the bodies are about 99% the same. The front crossmember for the steering rack, the tranny nose mounts, and the Syncro fuel tank are the hard parts. Best to have the 2 bodies elevated side by side so you can see the differences and measure things for adaptation.
