IMS, the Okrasa company made p[erformance parts for VW's even before EMPI, Gene Berg, Scat etc. They even had performance heads for the old 36hp motor. the last reference I heard of for Okrasa was some sort of big bore kit for either the Vanagon engine or maybe it was the Type 4. Took it out to like 2.5 liters. Hyper expensive stuff. I think they had a dual carb kit for the upright engine back in the early 60's too. German company I think. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Max, Okrasa became Oettinger who yes, made 2.5L long stroker kits for the wasserboxer as well as a complete 6 cyl waterboxer of up to 3.7L capacity. Cost at the time of manufacture was something like an incredible DM40,000. Dunno what that relates to in Euros... I know of one in a T3 Double Cab. Needs an auto transmission to cope with the grunt unfortunately...along with two extra fans to keep the engine cool enough in Australian conditions and stop it pinging it's arse off.
