My '81 7-passenger = no seal or vent. We aren't supposed to be sleeping in them.

I have seen Westys with a second battery with only carpet or less covering them. I have a piece of an old masonite sign cut to fit and screwed down with 4 self-tapping screws. The carpet covers it. It is a stock Group 41, so fits perfectly, including for height.
