Subject:      Suburban RV Heater;
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Well, when the list was mulling this over, I didn't have much to say. Mostly, because I have just bought the 12,000 BTU Suburban heater. And I don't have any practical experience yet to report. I have just wired, plumbed, and run it for about an hour. It seem to work very well, and I feel I'm going to be very happy with it. Someone on the list said they are 5 amp? This may be true of the larger ones, but the 12,000 Btu Label says 2.8 Amp. 50 W. The Battery that I have is the Everstart Marine 1-n. Cranking Amps 1000. Cold Cranking Amps 875. I don't know how to figure Amp Hours from this, unless this is the amp hour designation. Also I usually sleep with the heater off, unless were talking sub freezing temps. So the heater actually would be on mostly in the evenings, Extending the life of the battery. And a Second, Extra battery could be added along side the 1st extra battery. under the sink. Using the above Information, could the list's Electrical Guru's please refigure Battery Life for me, so I Can know what to expect from this heater? best, John C...
