You are right, just anywhere but Midas. Lots of friendly muffler shops can do it better, and not drive your van through their roof, or put the lifts in the wrong place, and bend control arms, etc, etc :-)

Looking at my 81, I would not attempt that. Some things are just made to be done standing up <g>
