Hi folks,

I just spent the weekend fighting with my wife's '92 cabrio...putting in a new power rack & pinion unit. What a PITA!!! I managed to thread the old one out and the new one in while leaving everything else hooked up...but if there's a next time I'll just yank the engine.

Anyways, there is a rubber boot that encloses the u-joints between the steering rack and the firewall of the car that I need to replace. Can somebody look up the part # for me?

Oh, and I couldn't keep up with the mail...please let the discussion that started as "Utah Diesel" just end.

Thanks, TomC tcarrington@relitech.com http://volksweb.relitech.com http://checkerweb.relitech.com 92 VW Cabriolet 85 VW Vanagon Crew Cab 82 VW Westy Diesel=>Gas Conversion 81 Checker A-11 (Taxi) 65 VW Notchback
