Yes and yes. The dripping is observable. I think a drop /minute is ok. I dont remember where I saw the specs on this.Maybe Bentley.I did this test with a pressurized injector.I pumped it up and watched for dripping withour applying the 12V. Some dripped and some didnt drip at all.All were within specs with an unknown amount of pressure. This pressure was enouth to give a nice "cloud" of vaporized fuel. Anymore pressure gave little difference in the cloud.

For some forgotton reason, I once left the 12V hooked up for many minutes. The injector got hot! I unplugged it and then let it cool(long time). I continued on with my cleaning and reinstalled the injector.I thought my experiment had roached(yet) another part. However,it has worked for a year and a half, and continues to be just fine.I,on the other hand, should have been burnt to a crisp with all the fluid that dripped out. This is why I say use the origional connectors from a junkyard, and have the garden hose turned on, and nearby. I just wired them, jerry rigged style, to the battery and surely got sparks.

The cloud of fuel is beautiful and you will know when the injector is clean, without doubt. No,you cant measure fuel flow or anything, but with a clean injector, you should get "like new" preformance.Perhaps a better quality bicycle pump will have an integral pressure gauge.I think an injector needs about 30psi.Very doable with this pump.
