John,

The post office flares are not of the same material as the Tristar and and Syncro 16 arches. I have all three sets on hand for comparison purposes.

They were being sent up to a fiberglass fabricator for replicating until I found out there would some heat applied to the pieces due to the curing process in making the fiberglass molds. I was negotiating having plugs made of a different material first so my originals don't get screwed up. Haven't received an answer yet.

To my knowledge the Bundespost (German Postal Service) vans did not get rear arches or flares. On another, unrelated thread, Derek Drew suggested carefully bending a Syncro 16 rear flare to fit. I think a better deal would be to take a mold out of the rear Tristar arches and cut away the extra material. The remold the whole thing. At least the contours will fit an uncut Vanagon wheel well.
