Interestingly, I have been referring to my '69 Westy as a "Big Metal Tent" for the past 9 years.

I would love to have a site with specific information on campgrounds and their VW campability. Having been burned a number of times, it's to the point that I will only go to public campgrounds these days.

The best way we figgered out to describe the split is, RVers have a movable home, but we have a metal tent. So, what we want is a good campsite, while our RV-owning friends want a good RV park(ing lot).
