Hi Phil,

Just wanted you to know that I just finished installing a Gene Berg Vanagon Quick Shift Kit <http://www.geneberg.com/cat.php?cPath=17_486_2978> on my '80 Westy Canadian and it is a great addition to our manual shift vans. It's all the info says it is and more ... shorter shift throws on all forward gears, a much more definitive pattern feel and much more solid shift feel, reverse is much easier to engage and the shifter is actually angled a bit towards the driver ... after the vagueness of the my original it actually feels kinda "sporty"!

One thing I did have to do was to lube the shift linkage points all the way to the tranny as it was actually a bit too stiff at first ...

The other plus with the Gene Berg is that it's a few dolls less expensive than the one you were looking at ...

peace

Have you noticed that shallow is the new deep.
