The Suburbans need to be externally vented - you need to cut 2-2" holes in the side of your van somewhere.

My RV has three of them; they warm the interior up in a real hurry. I don't think they draw 5-amps per hour though, once they get the interior to the preset temperature they cycle pretty slowly. The rate depends on interior volume and external temperature.
