From the blurb with the Speedhut fuel pressure gauge: "A high accuracy electronic (.5-4.5v) pressure transducer is included with the gauge for highest accuracy." I'm pretty sure all of speedhut's gauges come with senders, given that they are custom made stepper-motor driven dealies, rather than the old-fashioned 90-degree deflection heated bimetal type like VDO et al make. also i would be interested to hear your comments on gene bergs assertation > that most oil temp senders provide inaccurate data.
Given the degree of inaccuracy I've seen between even identical gauges on the same sender, and identical senders on the same gauge, I wouldn't trust 'em for more than tracking relative temperature. Even an inaccurate gauge should indicate "hotter" or "colder" once you get an idea of where it normally sits. -- John Bange '90 Vanagon - "Geldsauger" |
