Robert
Put this back together as a 2.1
the crank has a longer stroke and for all the trouble of a rebuild you
should be upgrading to a bigger engine. The other BIG problem you will face
is the main bearing fit in the case. While the new bearing might seem tight
it's not and the small amount if any press fit you have will be gone in the
next few thousand miles. I am not kidding!!
Find a 2.1 core and start there do it right and do it once
I have a good selection of used dip stick tubes and other engine components
the dip stick should push threw the case and come out the other side
P mail me if you want the main bearing article I wrote about 1.9 main
bearings
should be in the archives as well
going faster miles and hour with the radio on
I remain
