Darrell, the original maker of the digitool, would make, though not support, a digitool for the 1.9. I emailed back and forth with him a couple of years ago about doing this, but decided not to do it as I was seriously considering a conversion. I also emailed with a few people who had purchased and used the 1.9 version. It was as successful as the Digifant model. So, there probably some out there in use, but not very many. If you had the technical knowledge and skill to make one for the 2.1 using the plans that Darrel had on the web site, you could use a Bentley and the wiring diagrams in it to make a Digitool for the Digijet. The connections at the ECU would be different but the ones at the Digitool itself would be essentially the same IIRC The plans and schematics are still on the web: http://www.loam.org/vw/Vanagon/DigiTool/ Sam -- Sam Walters Baltimore, MD 89 Syncro GL, Zetec Inside 85 Westy Weekender 85 Mercedes Benz 300D Turbodiesel - to become veggie oil powered All incoming and outgoing email scanned by automatically updated copy of Norton AntiVirus. |
