MIG- I have a Lincoln Electric from Home Depot/Lowes. It works fine once you get the wire speed and heat dialed in for your particular job. Requires some trial and error before you make nice welds. I run 80/20 CO2/Argon mix for mild steel.

TIG- I have a 1/2 *ssed setup- Miller stick welder box fed into a Dayton high frequency arc stabilizer sent to generic TIG handle. I run pure Argon in this rig for welding aluminum. It works decent but has no water cooling for the handle and the Miller box has a low duty cycle so you can't run it long. No problem for me since I am a low volume user.

Plasma cutter- that would be nice! I don't have an extra grand laying around to buy one.

Anyone using any of these?

I could use some recommedations and expressions of experience with them

TIA,
