The fuel pump has two wires going to it, one to ground and one from the fuel pump relay. Running a pair of wires to the dash and a switch that would interrupt one of these wires would certainly disable the fuel pump.

If you really wanted to get medieval on someone and you have a 2WD, the fuel pump is very accessible on the underside, just pull one of the terminals off of it. This way, a would be thief won't be successful in perhaps finding the hidden switch.

Would it be possible to put a switch on the dash to disable the fuel pump? Assuming one could not locate the switch would this be an effective anti theft (and engine fire preventative) device?

Chris
