FWIW, I recently pulled the timing chain cover off our 3.8L Chrysler minivan as it had rubber o rings that were leaking coolant into the cover where the timing chain is. Looks like any residue or drips would've gone straight to the oil pan, but who knows. Very orangeish cast to the block in that area(we use the orange Prestone in the vehicle). I guess stranger things have happened.
